I found Christy (Friederich) while hunting for a massage therapist for my very active daughter who had "tweaked" her body in her soccer game. Little did i know i would not only find a great masseuse, but a healer for both myself and my daughter!
Christy truly guides us to finding our own center, offers a wide variety of alternative health information and re-minds us that balance is essential in daily life.
As I am always looking for strong female role models, i have found Christy with her brilliance, vivacity and spirit! i am delighted to have her in our lives. (Gina colombatto )

Metatarsal Pain and Stress Factors
This is a statement of my experience after three years of regular therapy provided by Christy Friederich, C.M.T. The approach has included a combination of Ortho-Bionomy® and related techniques every 2- 4 weeks.
At the beginning of my experience with this form of therapy, I had a virtually complete inability to responds to relaxation maneuvers. Over time, I have noted that my ability to respond to interventions has generally become significantly more and more rapid. I have also noted a steady growth over time in Christy's ability to apply newly learned techniques, and these have proven quite effective.
An additional specific symptom which has demonstrated (her work was) sustained improvement of a painful soft tissue swelling under the first metatarsal of one foot. This area was visibly inflamed and swollen. After considerable attention was directed specifically to that area, and in the absence of any other form of therapy, the symptoms and physical findings have fully resolved other than occasional minor, brief recurrences.
This summarizes my current state of progress with therapy. Due to its effectiveness to date, I intend to continue with my current program in order to eliminate the significant discomfort that I would otherwise experience, as well as to work toward a long-term ability to better manage my body's reactivity to stress factors. Sincerely, K.M.T, M.D.
D -- (Laura)Sciatic Pain
When I met Christy Friederich I was suffering with pain down my leg. The Chiropractor couldn't help me. The doctor asked me what type of 'medicine' I wanted to try. Having tried two different arthritis medicines and suffered ill effects from both I decided to try another therapy.
An advertisement in the newspaper led me to Christy. She found that the pain in my leg was caused by muscle spasms. She was able to relieve the pain in just one hour treatment. At least enough of the pain was gone so that I could walk again.
Christy conscientious therapist. She cares for her clients and is pleased with the progress each has made from experiencing her therapy. I have recommended her treatment to several friends. In fact, think so highly of her as a person, that I have often given gift certificates for her treatment to friends. (Laura)
Lower Back pain, Scoliosis, Child Birth Coaching.
Beginning in 1979 I started seeing a variety of health professionals, internists, physical therapists, chiropractors, neurologists and orthopedists for lower back pain. The relief was sporadic and their diagnoses were inconclusive, eg. "bulging discs, scoliosis, no evidence of any problem."
When I started working with Christy Friederich in January 1987 she was able to discern that my problems were created by postural imbalances. Her use of Ortho-Bionomy® plus a home exercise program have resulted in an ongoing healing process that has improved my posture and health, as well as, renewed my vitality.
Ortho-Bionomy® is a gentle, individualized approach. The body sets the pace. The releasing and rebalancing happen gradually. During the past three years I have experienced subtle and dramatic changes: my chest size has expanded; my feet are longer; my breathing and digestion are easier; my gait is not so stiff; I have more energy and the ability to handle discomfort when it arises. These physical changes have "rippled out" to the emotional and psychological levels as well.
I've been so impressed with the results of Christy's work that I have brought my daughter and husband to her. In March 1990 I had a second child. Christy assisted at the labor & delivery, as well as with a postpartum Ortho-Bionomy/exercise program. She worked with my infant son's postnatal neck and shoulder soreness - enabling him to nurse and sleep more comfortably.
I am very grateful to have found a process that honors the body's natural inclination to heal itself and gently facilitate that healing. Sincerely, S.S.
