The versatile cabinet

The purpose of cupboards and cabinets is quite simple: displaying, hiding and storing your things. But they can do so much more! Firstly, they are a serious interior design detail that can have a real impact on your home décor. And depending on their size and shape, they can find themselves in many jobs throughout your home.

The small cabinet that doubles as a sideboard

A small cabinet can easily function as a practical sideboard. Put it in the hallway to hold your wallet and keys, or maybe next to your sofa to unburden the coffee table. Try a small, light, freestanding one if you want some portable storage to move throughout your home. Or why not try one or a few wall mounted ones to create a striking impression in the room.

How about a TV-cabinet?

A wide cabinet can easily be used as a TV-stand. This can be a great choice if you want a seamless décor that integrates your furnishings in a single theme. Cabinets can also be effectively used to shift focus away from the TV as the focal point of the room.

Try combining a series of tall, medium-height and low cabinets of the same series along a wall. You will create a uniform impression that’s also dynamic due to the varying heights. You can position your TV off centre on a low to medium height piece, and frame it with tall cabinets for an integrated look. Your screen is now a part of the display, rather than the main event. And you’ll have ample space to store all your devices and appliances to boot.

Remember that our designated TV-stands are designed with solutions for wiring, such as holes or gaps at the back. Only some of our cabinets have this as an option. Be sure to read each product description to find out which have solutions for wiring, or have a look at all of our TV-stands instead.

Designing a book-cabinet

A tall cabinet with doors can be a good substitute for a bookshelf. It can easily store the same number of books and decorations as a regular open shelf. But you also have the option of choosing what to display and what to hide away.

Many of our cabinets come with open shelves as well as solid doors or doors with windows. That means that a part of your book-cabinet can be used as a display shelf, while the doors-part is strictly storage. At that point, it’s up to you; do you want to keep your most prised literary artifacts in full view to impress your guests? Or keep them behind closed doors to protect them from dust, dirt, wear and tear.

Wall mounted cabinets

Some of our cabinets can be wall mounted. This gives you the opportunity to use space that is normally wasted. Why not hang cabinets above, or around, your TV or above your bed? If your storage needs are great, and your living is compact, wall mounted cabinets can be the solution you need.

Adjustable to your needs

Some of our cabinets are adjustable to your changing needs. You can add or remove shelves. You can choose either cabinet doors or drawers. You can even add whole sections to the piece if you need it. You can also add extra features to upgrade your cabinet, like soft closing doors or some integrated lighting. That way it can help create just the atmosphere you want.
